Forest school with Westfield School

Last Friday, boys in Years 5 and 6 took a walk to Westfield School for the day to take part in a range of ‘forest school’ activities.

Split into four mixed groups, the boys – and girls – were able to take part in a carousel of activities including the fire pit, den-building, structure-building and kite-making. The sessions, which were run or supervised by Westfield and NSB staff, were designed to encourage effective communication, develop the teamwork skills and to foster a strong sense of community.

The boys are looking forward to more joint initiatives with Westfield, including the upcoming Hallowe’en disco!
