Travelling to school
Newcastle School for Boys is located in the heart of Gosforth, a central suburb of Newcastle. We are therefore able to offer very easy access to the School through a number of local transport links.
Whilst many of our pupils choose to walk to school or travel by car, all of our school sites are ideally located in close proximity to a number of metro stations – South Gosforth for our Senior School and Regents Centre for our Junior School – making travel from the coast, across Tyne and Wear and from Newcastle Central Station very easy. We are also located close to nearby Gosforth High Street where you will find stops for a number of bus routes. The timetables for both the metro and bus services can be found here.
If pupils wish to travel to school independently but not using public transport, we are pleased to be able to offer a school bus service between the School and Alnwick, Felton and Stannington in partnership with Kennedy’s Mini Coaches.
We have been working with Kennedy’s, who use modern coaches with comfortable seats and full seat belts, for a number of years due to the high quality service they are able to offer our boys. The extremely reliable service operates both in the morning and afternoon and all of their drivers are enhanced DBS checked.
Any parents wishing to book their son onto this service can request more information from our school offices or contact Kennedy’s directly.
Extensive co-curricular programme; from judo to coding, speech and drama to choir

School should be about the best for the child. Look after the child and the qualifications will follow is my belief and NSB is doing that for my son.
