We are delighted that you are considering Newcastle School for Boys for your son’s education. Our main entry points into the Junior School are Nursery and Reception, as well as Year 5 where places are available. For the Senior School, the key entry points are Year 7 and Sixth Form, as well as Year 9 where places are available. However, places may be available in other year groups and boys may join those year groups outside of the normal entry points.

There is no better way to really get a feel for the School than with a visit. Each year we host a number of open days allowing you and your son the opportunity to take a look around the School and meet our staff and boys. However, we are also very happy to welcome families at other times. We encourage you to come and take a look around the School on a normal school day.

Newcastle School for Boys aims to encourage applications from candidates with as diverse a range of backgrounds as possible. This enriches our community and is vital in preparing our boys for today’s world. We are currently taking applications for September 2024 and the following academic years. However, should you be looking for a more immediate start for your son, we would be happy to facilitate this should the space be available. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
