Exam Results

Since the addition of the Senior School following the formation of Newcastle School for Boys, we have seen increasingly strong results with our boys producing some of the best exam results in Newcastle and regularly performing well over the national average in both GCSE and GCE exams.

As important as public exam results are, they don’t always tell the full story. At Newcastle School for Boys, we value each boy as an individual and work with them to develop all of their talents; academic or otherwise.

In our pursuit of adding value to each boy’s performance, we take great care to measure our boys’ potential and monitor their progress using sophisticated assessment developed at the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring – a world leader in assessment – at Durham University, allowing boys to attain these high level results.

Now, more than ever, the majority of our GCSE students go on to successfully study their A levels in our Sixth Form. Our A level students continue to produce highly competitive results, gaining places on courses at some of the most prestigious, top, national and international universities.

My son has exceeded my expectations and his teachers have given him confidence to achieve results that he did not believe he could achieve a couple of years ago.
