Personal Enrichment

The Sixth Form years are years of significant personal growth for boys, readying themselves for the world beyond school. At Newcastle School for Boys, we ensure that boys are given all the necessary tools for success with our enrichment programme. Each week, a double lesson is set aside for the programme, focusing on developing life skills, study skills and looking at their career options for the future.

We also recognise that, whilst a strong education and qualifications are essential to a boys’ future opportunities, experience is increasingly becoming more and more invaluable. Each boy within our Sixth Form is supported in securing work experience, with many boys going to placements at some of the region’s most highly regarded organisations including law firms, sports teams and hospitals.

Throughout their time at our Sixth Form, boys are assigned a personal tutor to provide them with both personal and academic support and guidance to help equip them fully for life after Newcastle School for Boys.
