Former pupil performs for the King at Windsor Castle

Former NSB pupil Joshua (2022, Mavor) got the royal seal of approval when performed at a reception at Windsor Castle, in the presence of King Charles III.

The event was to celebrate community music across the UK. Josh and his quartet from the Royal College of Music performed one of Josh’s original compositions entitled, The Classic Situation. The composition drew on his experience with both classical music and jazz, and also featured some improvisation. Josh got to meet the King afterwards to discuss his work as well as their shared love of music.

It is wonderful to see former pupils go on to such wonderful achievements, building on the foundations which their time at NSB provided. We wait excitedly to see what Josh will go onto next, and look forward to hearing more about him and his musical journey.
