Mrs Beck’s class went on a visit to Jesmond Dene last Thursday on a lovely bright Autumn day. As they set off on the minibus, the boys were excited to be going out on their first trip of the year.
When the boys arrived at Jesmond Dene, they had snack time at the picnic tables before going for a walk to look for signs of Autumn. Walking through the echo tunnel, they had fun shouting out their names and listening to the echoes they made. They walked by the river and listened to the waterfalls and collected some leaves. They also walked through pets’ corner to see the birds and animals and more than three goats! They then sat down and each made a troll face from leaves. Some boys made theirs look very scary! It was then time to pretend to be goats and trolls crossing the “trip trap bridge.” It was great fun! The boys just had time to float their trolls under the bridge before it was time to come back to school for lunch.
