Our under 12 team played their second game of the week, beating Dame Allan’s after suffering defeat at the hands of Walker School earlier in the week.
The boys reflected on their performance against Walker and highlighted areas the team could improve on for the Dame Allan’s game.
Their targets were to improve on the physical side of the game and also working off the ball. They certainly acted on their feedback and made progress in both areas. Unfortunately, Will B suffered an injury in the Walker game and was appointed team analyst for the afternoon and counted 64 tackles during the game, which showed a substantial improvement. A strength of the team has always been their ability to pass the ball and, again, that was a feature of their play in what were testing conditions.
Goals came from Alexander C, Adam R and Fraser R and a hat-trick from Max W in a 6-0 win. Special mention also to Henry S, Paddy J and Alp P who made the joint most tackles through the game. Cameron M continued his fine form from the Walker game to achieve a clean sheet making a number of fine saves in both games.
