Year 6 visit to SafetyWorks

Last Thursday, Year 6 visited SafetyWorks, a purpose-built, multi-agency, interactive safety centre serving the community of Tyne and Wear.

The boys were able to take part in their summer safety campaign, which focuses particularly on the hazards and dangers that may be experienced during the summer months.

With talks from Northumbria Police, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, St John’s Ambulance, the RNLI Lifeguards and Newcastle City Council road safety team, the boys were able to access a range of realistic situations illustrating everyday hazards and how to prevent them.

The boys thoroughly enjoyed their experience and what they had learned from the visit will help them to have a safe and enjoyable summer break. Well done, Year 6.
