Year 2 archaeology trip

The boys in Year 2 visited the Museum of Archaeology in Durham to take part in a fantastic Stone Age workshop.

They found out all about prehistory, from the Paleolithic to the Iron Age.   The boys had the opportunity to handle original artefacts and find out what they tell us about different times in prehistory. The boys also enjoyed exploring the gallery, using the handling collection and focusing in on specific periods through an interactive quest.

In the afternoon, they had the chance to look at a skeleton and all the things bones can tell us about the life of the person they belonged to.

All of the boys in Year 2 are now fully fledged archaeologists!
