Year 11 GCSE Geography field trip to the Lake District

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, Year 11 Geography students visited Bowness-on-Windermere and the Newlands Valley to practice their fieldwork skills, as required for their GCSE examination.  Boys used a range of quantitative techniques to measure river features and characteristics; such as velocity, depth and sediment shape.

The boys showed fantastic geographical inquiry skills and worked well as a team showing empathy and integrity at all times – day and night!
