Year 10 GCSE Geography field trip to Newcastle
Written by Year 10 GCSE Geography students
On Wednesday 16 November, Year 10 geographers undertook field work to compare the quality of environments in Byker, Ouseburn, Northumberland Street, Grey Street and Westgate Road.
We saw evidence of regeneration around the Ouseburn, for example old warehouses being used for artists’ studios, lock ups and offices. We also collected data which showed different zones of Newcastle developing very quickly, evidenced by changes in quality and types of housing as well as land uses.
