Year 1 boys spent an enjoyable day at Souter Lighthouse last week. A fear of heights was conquered for some, as the boys managed to climb the very steep steps to the top and their efforts were duly rewarded with far-reaching views. After lunch, they had great fun making and decorating their own lighthouses with real working circuits using batteries, lamps and wires. We had time for a short walk on the leas and were lucky enough to see the nesting cormorants.
