Year 4 boys have enjoyed a sun drenched World Cup football tournament playing against some very strong local teams. Boys got off to a solid start drawing their first game – super defence from Harveer Maan and Thomas Nattress keeping us in the game. The boys lost their second game but a strong bench of Joshua Andrews, Oliver Geoghan and Oscar Gibson kept the team fluent and moving. The boys won their next 2 games with Hamazah Amir, Hamish Armstrong , and Marni Ebanks Beni finding their scoring boots. To qualify for the quarter finals, the boys had to play an extra game with the school tying with us for second place. This game went to penalties where brilliant goalkeeping from Oliver Pedlingham and an amazing penalty from Leo Miller saw us through.
The team tried very hard but lost their quarter final game. The boys put in a huge effort and were a credit to the School
