The Under 12 cricket team travelled to the picturesque Humshaugh Cricket Club to play Tynedale.
Batting first on a beautiful Friday evening, the boys managed to set them a total of 88 with every boy getting time at the wicket and responding very well to specific challenges set for them each over. Top scorers were Alexander C and Henry S, while Archie M played the shot of the day, unveiling one of his signature cover drives for four.
In the field, every boy bowled well as they managed to restrict Humshaugh to 46 whilst taking a good number of wickets. Henry S’ pace was a real challenge for the opposition and the fielding was terrific. Will B effected a good run-out with a composed underarm throw along the ground. Archie McLean took a very good catch which went high down to backward square.
A great performance by all of the boys and a very enjoyable way to conclude the week.
