Under 12 county rugby sevens

The boys in Year 7 ended the county sevens series with some outstanding performances. They focused on moving the ball away from contact, support, and finding ways to go forward.

They started the day by showing excellent resilience to come back from two tries down to draw with Dame Allan’s School, with tries coming from Reuben M and Harry B.

In game two, the boys played with creativity and awareness to score five tries against Ashington Academy with tries coming from Jonny B, Cas C, Oliver H, Reuben and Finn P.

In game three, the boys again showed resilience to win 20-15 against Newminster, with tries by Peter (3) and Moss. After the group games, the boys had the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the European and Challenge Cups that are touring the north east prior to the finals at St. James’ Park in May.

The boys then had two finals games against St Thomas More and Kings Priory where, despite playing well, they lost by a couple of tries. The boys can be very proud of the progress they made throughout the afternoon.
