Reception had a great time on Friday the 1st of May when they visited the children’s outpatients department at the Great North Children’s hospital. The boys watched a DVD about going into hospital and looked at lots of X rays.
Amanda, who was looking after us for the visit was very impressed that the boys knew the names of quite a few bones! Then they enjoyed dressing up as surgeons, patients and nurses and examining each other with stethoscopes and torches before learning how to wash their hands like the hospital staff. We all came back to school with very clean hands.
