Shasun Pharmaceuticals visit

Year 12 Biology and Chemistry students have enjoyed an excellent visit to Shasun Pharmaceuticals in Cramlington. After an interesting introduction about the company, and the life cycle of pharmaceutical products, the boys were given a tour of the site. This included visits to the research and process safety labs, the pilot and full-scale production plants and the biological treatment plant. It was fascinating to see how processes and concepts studied in school are applied in a real-life working environment.
