Early Years and Juniors
Juniors Easter reading competition
For each book that boys read over Easter, Mr Asker would like them to e-mail him at easterreading@newcastleschool.co.uk – not his normal school e-mail. Boys need to tell him the title of the book, the author and provide a brief review. Each time a boy sends an e-mail, Mr Asker will reply with a short message of congratulations and will put his name into his “Easter Bunny bonnet of enthusiastic and amazing readers” prize draw. Boys are more than welcome to enter over and over and each book read will be rewarded with names going into the hat again and again. The more the boys read, the greater their chance of winning!
Boys who read a whole collection of poetry will be rewarded with their name going in the draw twice for every collection read.
At the start of the Summer Term, three names from the overflowing bonnet. First prize will be a £20 book voucher, second prize a £10 book voucher and third place earns a £5 book voucher.
The competition will begin from the minute the boys break up on Thursday 2nd April and run until the start of the Summer Term on Tuesday 21st April.
