Interfaith Week
The Senior School and pupils in Year 6 celebrated Inter Faith Week last week. This was an opportunity for students to learn about people of all faiths and none, in a celebration of our differences. Inter Faith Week started in 2009 in England and is currently in its 13th year. Inter faith cooperation and understanding are vital in our increasingly diverse society and helps strengthen relationships and understanding between people of different faiths and beliefs. Every year, hundreds of organisations around the country take part in events to celebrate Inter Faith Week, and we look forward to continuing to celebrate alongside them.
This year, students in Years 6, 7, 8 and 9 made lanterns demonstrating the importance of faith as a light in our lives, while students in Years 10 and 11 searched for a quote from a religion or belief that inspires them. There was also a form quiz for all students in the Senior School alongside some other activities throughout the week.
All of the students clearly engaged well and Ms Buxton Collins thoroughly enjoyed looking through all of the work that they created.
