Toby Tremlett, academy physio at the Newcastle Falcons, visited the School last week to run a workshop with the Year 13 CTEC sport class who are currently studying their sports injuries and rehabilitation unit.
The boys had the opportunity to question Toby about how he responds to acute injuries such as concussion and fractures.
He also explained how the medical department works at the Falcons and which external agencies are involved in the rehabilitation of injured players.
The boys were also given an insight into how rehabilitation programmes are planned and executed, including what exercises and forms of treatment are provided at each stage. Thank you to Toby for giving the boys some real-life insight from an elite sporting organisation.
