Learning

All pupils within our Nursery and Reception classes are taught in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for educating children aged from birth to five years. In our learning Nursery activities are lead and pupils are taught by a qualified Early Years teacher.

Our dedicated teaching staff will ensure that learning will start at a place most appropriate to the needs of your child, irrespective of age, and follow guidance set out in the seven areas of learning and development as described in the EYFS framework. Fun, play-based activities, combined with individual support ensure that each child is given a flying start and a passion for learning. The emphasis at this stage of your child’s education is on learning through a balance of structured play and child initiated/teacher directed learning activities.

All work done with the pupils in these first two years at our School is put in place to give them the best grounding to continue and thrive in Key Stage 1 and beyond.
