Year 2 trip to Durham Archaeology Museum
The boys in Year 2 visited the Museum of Archaeology in Durham to take part in a fantastic Stone Age workshop.
They found out all about prehistory, from the Paleolithic to the Iron Age. The boys had the opportunity to handle original artefacts and find out what they tell us about different times in prehistory. They also looked at a skeleton and all the things bones can tell us about the life of the person they belonged to.
In the afternoon, they had the chance to explore the gallery, use the handling collection and focus in on specific periods through an interactive quest.
All of the boys in Year 2 are now fully fledged archaeologists!
