Cambridge Chemistry Challenge

In May of this year, our Year 12 Chemistry A level students entered the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge organised by St Catherine’s and Corpus Christi Colleges at the University of Cambridge.

Over 7,000 students from 500 schools nationwide entered this challenging competition which consisted of a combination of familiar and new material designed to fully extend entrants.

Three of our students were awarded a certificate for achievement:

Silver: Bayley C placing him in the top 20% nationally and showing that he is able to successfully work his way through unfamiliar material and indicative of very good problem-solving skills.

Copper: Billy C and Haider K showed that they have a good grasp of A level Chemistry and can apply this knowledge to new material.
