French Exchange

Before the half term break, we said a fond ‘Au Revoir’ to the seven pupils and two teachers from Institution Notre Dame in Chartres at the end of what was an enormously successful first leg of the French Exchange.

All of those involved had a great time speaking each other’s languages and the visitors enjoyed experiencing life in the North East: attending lessons, visiting Hadrian’s Wall, the Castle Keep and the Discovery and Great North Museums, as well as wide range of fun visits and activities organised by their host families.

We now look forward to March, when the NSB boys make the journey over to France for the second leg.  Many thanks to the NSB parents who hosted the visitors and to the Modern Foreign Languages staff for organising the exchange.
