Michael Grant meet and greet

This week, Year 8 visited Gosforth Central Middle School to meet with celebrated children’s author Michael Grant.

Michael gave a thrilling and entertaining presentation about how he researches his novels, the process of writing and how he overcame tremendous adversity to become the successful author of over 150 novels.

The boys had the opportunity to ask some questions which ranged from “What is your favourite thing about writing” to “How much money did you make last year?”

Students could also choose a specially dedicated book, which they will be discussing in their English lessons. It was a fantastic opportunity for the boys to further their celebration of books and, as always, the boys did themselves proud.
