It’s official, NSB are world record holders.
On Wednesday, boys from across the school, with a little help from Alan Shearer, broke the record for the most selfies taken in three minutes. It wasn’t an easy challenge and we were still yet to break the record when we reached our third and final attempt. It was with great relief and anticipation when the Guinness World Records adjudicator revealed we had broken the record with a total of 134 selfies – that’s just one more than the previous record.

Whilst boys and staff alike had great fun, it was also great to raise funds through the event which willbe donated to the Alan Shearer Foundation. The foundation was set up to support the Alan Shearer Centre in Newcastle: a highly specialist, disability, respite, residential and social provision for people with complex disabilities and acute sensory impairments.
