Nursery Bug Hotel
Last week, Nursery made a bug hotel for their yard. The boys decided to collect leaves, bark, sticks and stones for the woodlice and spiders to live under.
Next, we put tubes and sand into another tub to see what would come and live there. We then borrowed compost from the digging area to which we added a wormery. Lastly, the boys wanted to have a stone pool to attract frogs.
This week, our focus is on frogs and, amazingly, one was found living in our yard behind the reading den. We wonder if he has moved into our bug hotel… we will keep you posted with updates.
