National Bike Week

Over the past two weeks, the PE and Games department has been running some cycling activities to support @WeAreCyclingUK National Bike Week.

The three challenges were:

  • Individual distance challenge
  • Household distance challenge
  • Cycling photograph competition

There was some outstanding engagement from boys, families and staff. Special mention goes to Kian ABOscar BFolu ERobbie GOwen HNihal MJames MTom S, James WMrs RobinsonMr Thompson and Mr Tickner.

The results of the challenges were…
1st place: William M (Year 4) 251 miles 
2nd place: Jack S (Year 12) 122 miles
3rd place: Joe T (Year 10) 121 miles

The final household standings were as follows:
1st place: The M family with 671 miles 
2nd place: The S family with 452 miles
3rd place: The W family with 423 miles

And finally, the photograph competition top three were: 
1st place: Archie W (Year 7) standing next to the Tyne bridges and the Sage 
2nd place: Joshua R (Year 7) at The Angel of the North 
3rd place: Alfie W (Year 7) on a deserted Northumberland Street
