BBC Young Reporter
Year 9 took part in the BBC Young Reporter initiative; a national project enabling young people to become journalists for the week.
Year 9 English classes worked hard to prepare for the event, learning about making news, interview skills and ethical reporting.
When the big week arrived, teams had thoroughly researched stories to explore, film and edit.
The stories varied from first XV rugby success, to recent research on combating mental health issues. One team conducted a survey on the effects of dog walking on mental health, whilst another team interviewed staff and sixth form boys about the journey to the final of the Natwest Vase competition.
The boys worked productively in their teams and adhered to strict deadlines. Reports will be uploaded to the BBC website for viewing very soon!
