Last Thursday, all of our Sixth Form students attended a driving safety presentation at Newcastle High School for Girls.

The presentation was led by the Road Sense Common Sense initiative, aimed at young and newly qualified drivers. The presentation included talks from Northumbria Police motor patrols, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue and the North East Ambulance Service. Speakers also included family members who had lost loved ones in traffic accidents as a result of dangerous driving.

The boys felt the talks were extremely thought-provoking, and really encouraged them to consider how careless actions when driving can have serious consequences.
