At a time when the study of foreign languages appears to be in decline nationally, our Senior and Junior School boys came together to celebrate the European Day of Languages on 27th September. The day aims to promote the value of language skills and encourage appreciation of cultural diversity through fun activities.
Years 5 and Year 6 were involved in the event and boys took part in a series of activities held at the Senior School. In mixed year groups, boys enjoyed three 20 minute activities from playing bingo in Swahili and Mandarin to putting their general knowledge of Europe to the test with an interactive quiz.
