There are two main sources of income for a school which is a charity: direct fee income and funds accumulated through the generosity of benefactors.
Newcastle School for Boys, as a new School, does not have any existing Endowments or a Foundation. It relies solely on direct fee income, which is needed to meet the core operational needs of the School.
The School would like to encourage support from all interested in its further development and has established “Giving Opportunities” with a focus on two main areas:
- A Fund to provide Assistance with Fees for boys who would not otherwise be able to benefit from an education at Newcastle School for Boys. The aim of this Fund is to provide life-changing opportunities to those who would benefit from an education at Newcastle School for Boys but who are financially disadvantaged. Each £10,000 raised would allow a boy to attend the School without any charge for a year.
- A Fund for Capital Projects. The School is thriving but there are challenges to be met if Newcastle School for Boys is to continue to establish itself as one of the major boys’ only schools in the North of England. The School needs to enhance its already existing excellent facilities as part of these challenges. The aim is to raise £1,000,000 in total to fund these capital projects.
