ISI Inspection 2013 “Parental questionnaire responses support the inspection finding that there is an energetic programme of co-curricular activities across the school. The school believes that a significant amount of the personal development of young men occurs through their participation in the wider life of the school and this was clearly observed during the inspection”.

The co-curricular programme at NSB encompasses all the activities, societies, events and trips that the School offers alongside the academic curriculum. It is an integral and essential aspect of the education offered by Newcastle School for Boys including in fulfilling our aim of developing boys and young men of excellent character.   We hope that all boys will take advantage of as many activities as possible. We expect all boys to involve themselves in at least one co-curricular activity a week. Many activities are run during the lunch hour and others take place before and after school.

We are delighted with Newcastle School for Boys.  Our son looks forward to going to school and is happier than he has been for a long time.  He is making friends, really enjoying the sport and loves playing for the school rugby team. - New Senior School parents
